A couple months ago, a polemic has been launched from a serie of photographs for PLUS Model Magazine.
Beyond the tireness I feel about the eternal debate XS/XL-who-is-the-best, I've been disappointed by the lack of esthetic consideration in front of this shooting.
The embrace of the bodies looks protective and caring, no one takes the advantage on the other, but mostly, the showing of the bodies is pure and beautiful, whether it is flesh or bones, curves or angles.
Sometimes we should just stop overthinking and, in a general way, trying to stop searching systematically for a meaning or a message in art. Yeah, perhaps this shooting was made to make people think, but facing an endless debate which promotes a certain body type by spitting on its extreme opposite, the artistic point may be the best to keep.
Anyway, bodies is what I like to manipulate and to tranform the most on paper.
